The 2018 General Assembly of the European Innovation Partnership for Smart Cities & Communities (EIP-SCC) is to be held on the 27th & 28th of June 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria. REPLICATE as other LightHouse projects will have the opportunity to participate on the EIP-SCC Market Place, which efforts are focused into matchmaking activities. This is a place where either physically or virtually demand of innovative solutions from cities’ actors and supply from investors, technology providers meet.

Once again, REPLICATE´S project team members have been invited to be at the Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress. Smart City Expo World Congress exists in order to empower cities and collectivize urban innovation across the globe, through promoting social innovation, establishing partnerships and identifying business opportunities. The objective of the event is to launch the Smart City Guidance Package (SCGP) by presenting the results of the work led by the Integrated Planning, Policy and Regulations Action Cluster of the EIP-SCC in order to provide public authorities of cities and communities, as well as non-governmental actors, with the necessary support for planning and managing smart city projects. The city of Brno will host the General Assembly of the RUGGEDISED project (funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme). Brno as a follower city plans to hold the General Assembly during the URBIS Smart City Fair which will take place from 5th – 6th June 2019. NORDIC EDGE Expo, is seen as the most important event in the Nordics for know how exchange and inspiration, creators of smart businesses, societies and smarter cities. It is a great opportunity to meet experts, getting insights about innovations in various fiels like technology, mobility, value creation or social sustainability.  

The  Lyon  event  will  be  the  8th  event  organized  by  the  Smart  Cities  &  Communities  network.  The previous events have either  focused on replicating solutions  from  the Lighthouse Cities to Follower  cities  (Brussels,  Stavanger)  or  sharing  experiences  and  best  practices  (San  Sebastian,  Sonderborg,  Lisbon, etc).
